March of Dimes Legal Award 2025

We are incredibly proud to announce that Jennifer Felix, President and CEO of ASRC Federal, has been awarded the first-ever Legacy Heroine Award by the March of Dimes Heroines of Washington at their . This prestigious honor recognizes her commitment to leading with purpose and helping to strengthen communities across the Capital region.

The Heroines of Washington program, now in its third decade, is more than just an awards ceremony, this initiative celebrates women in the D.C. metropolitan area who make a meaningful impact beyond their job titles. , the organization behind this award, has been at the forefront of maternal and infant health for over 80 years, leading the fight for the health of all families.

A Legacy of Leadership and Service

Jennifer’s career in government contracting is marked by a commitment to ethical innovation and a drive to deliver solutions that truly serve the public good. But her influence extends far beyond our company walls. At ASRC Federal, Jennifer has consistently championed initiatives to build stronger and more meaningful impact in the communities our employees work and live. She has been a vocal advocate for veteran hiring initiatives, STEM outreach programs and expanding professional development opportunities for employees.

The Legacy Heroine Award specifically acknowledges her deep personal commitment to maternal and infant health, a cause central to the March of Dimes mission. Jennifer has been a member of the Heroines of Washington Awards board since 2017 and served as co-chair for four consecutive years from 2018 to 2021, elevating the awards program to new heights. Since then, she has worked behind the scenes as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and building a corporate giving initiative to benefit the March of Dimes. In the last four years, ASRC Federal employees have participated in annual March for Babies and have generated nearly $1M towards the organization’s mission. The company’s support goes beyond the annual March for Babies walk to include volunteer involvement and sponsorship of the March of Dimes’ Heroines of Washington event.

Reflecting on the honor, Jennifer shared her perspective:

“As an organization, ASRC Federal has come together to support the March of Dimes because their purpose is focused on advocating for families. Their mission resonates and connects with our shareholders because Alaska Native women have a higher risk of mortality in childbirth…When you don’t have a health pregnancy, it affects the family in so many ways. Their mission of supporting the health of women and babies and ultimately the health of the whole family is vitally important. I hope my legacy of work with the March of Dimes really inspires others to get involved.”

Watch the Interview

Earlier this year, Jennifer sat down with WashingtonExec to discuss her career, her passion for philanthropy and what this award means to her. The conversation is a moving look at a leader who measures success not just by professional milestones, but by the positive community impact she creates.

Jennifer’s recognition as a Heroine of Washington highlights the inspiring intersection of professional achievement and profound community impact and is a testament to the power of purpose-driven leadership. Please join us in congratulating Jennifer on this incredible achievement.

ACT-IAC Innovation Champion Award

Touchless Identity Solution delivers next-generation identity verification technology to enhance passenger experience and national security.

announced today that it was selected by the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) as a winner of the 2025 ACT-IAC Innovation Champion Awards, together with its Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer and teammate . The Champion Award, ACT-IAC’s highest innovation honor, recognizes revolutionary and game-changing government innovations.

ASRC Federal, Daurem LLC and the TSA were selected for the award based on their partnership in developing the (TIS). This next-generation biometric identity verification technology, currently deployed at 10 high-volume international airports, streamlines the passenger airport security process while also improving aviation security. TIS enables authorities at travel hubs, such as Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, to verify passenger identity at airport checkpoints more effectively and efficiently.

Travelers who opt into TIS are directed to TIS kiosks at airports, where a Transportation Security Officer operates a tablet with a high-definition camera to verify their identity against existing TSA data – expediting checkpoint processing to less than 10 seconds. This process can be significantly faster than the regular PreCheck process where passengers present their ID and boarding pass.

“TSA’s TIS allows airports to advance security while markedly improving the customer experience for passengers,” said Sanjay Sardar, civilian and health operating group president at ASRC Federal. “This award recognizes ASRC Federal’s commitment to leveraging technology to advance this TSA mission, strengthening air travelers’ security.”

The TSA, ASRC Federal and Daurem, LLC were recognized at ACT-IAC’s  held May 4-6 in Cambridge, Maryland and discussed their innovations as a part of a panel at the conference.

, Mike Horton, as he discuss our award-winning biometric technology for the TSA, the keys to mission success, and his take on the future of AI in our industry during his conversation with ACT-IAC’s David Wennergren on FNN’s Accelerating Government podcast.

Orion AFSS SFA Award

ASRC Federal System and Solutions (AFSS) team was recently recognized by the NASA’s Space Flight Awareness (SFA) Program and Lockheed Martin for its many contributions to the success of the Orion Space Flight mission as part of Artemis I.

I’m incredibly proud of our team and their accomplishments in support of the Orion program. We are grateful to be a trusted partner and supplier to Lockheed Martin for the assembly, integration and test of NASA’s Orion spacecraft for the Artemis missions,” said Tassos Abadiotakis, vice president of space coast operations.

SFA is a NASA-managed motivational and recognition program with invited representation from NASA and contractors having major responsibilities for human spaceflight mission success. The SFA program is managed by NASA Headquarters’ Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate.

Since its inception in 1963, SFA’s mission has been to ensure that all employees involved in human space flight are aware of the impact their actions can have on astronaut safety and mission success. The SFA Supplier Award honors outstanding performance by hardware, software and service suppliers, SFA contractors, vendorsand subcontractors who support NASA human space flight programs. Awardees are chosen based on their production of high-quality products, excellent technical and cost performanceand adherence to schedules.

“The team delivered high-quality products and excellent technical and cost performance in association with Orion’s production in support of the Artemis I spacecraft,” Abadiotakis continued.

The ASRC Federal team includes certified spacecraft technicians, engineers, planning and scheduling support, materials handling and floor inspectors who manufacture the Orion vehicle in Florida. AFSS is also supporting Lockheed Martin with the assembly, integration and test of the Orion spacecraft for Artemis II-IV in the Neil Armstrong Operations & Checkout facility at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC).

In 2023, there was an unusually high demand for experienced aerospace technicians across KSC. This demand included a massive labor-ramp up leading to the successful flight of the Artemis I mission, SpaceX’s increased flight tempo and launch rate and other projects ramping up their production and flight rates.

“Our team was able to quickly reverse the attrition rate of our experienced workforce and increase our overall net headcount by more than 100 full-time employees to meet program requirements and schedule commitments,” Tassos says. “At the same time, we ramped up our workforce support for the production efforts on the Orion spacecraft for Artemis II – Artemis IV.”

A number of people onthe team were also recognized for individual SFA awards for management, trailblazing and local program support.ASRC Federal employees were also proud recipients of NASA’s SFA awards in 2023.

ASTROS Patriot Award

The ASRC Federal team that supports the U.S. Department of Defense’s ASTROS contract was awarded the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve’s Patriot Award in January for their commendable treatment of U.S. Navy reservist Jennifer Vazquez.

Grateful for her employer’s commitment during a turbulent time, Vazquez nominated her team for the award.

Vazquez joined ASRC Federal as a site operations support coordinator on the ASTROS contract. She was deployed three months later.

“Unplanned deployment can be very unnerving for active-duty military in many ways and job stability is one of the sacrifices we often face,” said Vazquez. “I was concerned that I wouldn’t have a job when I returned my deployment.”

Vasquez notified her managers about her year-long deployment and desire to return to her role when it was complete.

“They reassured me that my position would be preserved upon my return,” Vazquez said. “Many of my fellow battalion members were not as fortunate to return to their jobs. A few who did return were immediately terminated ‘at will,’ a silent struggle that our military face when returning from deployment,” she added.

Vazquez was so grateful for the support she received from her team and ASRC Federal while she was deployed and when she returned to work nearly a year later.

“Everyone was so supportive of me and always in continuous communication, even when I needed something after after-hours,” she recalled. “This is just a great example of how ASRC Federal is dedicated to creating a supportive and encouraging work environment.”

In 2023, the ASRC Federal team in Sierra Vista, AZ was also awarded the Patriot Award.

As a top veteran employer, ASRC Federal supports veteran hiring and retention through a number of programs, including DOD Skillbridge and American Corporate Partners mentorships. The company has been recognized as a Great Place to Work, Military Times ‘’ and Veteran Indexes ““.

Thank you for your service to our country and our company, Ms. Vazquez.
